Tejomaya Candles Co. was born from my passion for natural and beautiful-smelling candles. Our candles are carefully crafted by hand in the picturesque town of Dorset, where we take immense pride in our production process. When the nationwide lockdown was first implemented, I began creating my candles because I realised that commercial candles were made using synthetic ingredients that release harmful toxins when burned. Moreover, it was challenging for me to find a candle with a fragrance that I genuinely loved at an affordable price. Therefore, Tejomaya was born! It is a place of solace for me, and I wish everyone to experience its uplifting energy.

At Tejomaya, we understand the strong connection between the body and mind. To achieve inner greatness, nourishing your body with natural goodness and staying away from harmful chemicals is essential. Our company was founded during the lockdown of 2021 to prioritise rest and create products that enhance your overall wellbeing.
We started as a one-woman operation, but now my husband, Kiran, is on board to help me with the admins. We dedicate our time and effort to crafting candles for our esteemed customers while juggling our full-time jobs. It has been two years since we started trading, but we feel grateful for the support of our customers and stockists. We are thrilled to see what the future holds for our business! We also take immense pride in being named a women-owned Nepali business.

Our candles and wax melts are crafted from a luxurious blend of natural coconut and rapeseed wax, which is 100% biodegradable. At Tejomaya, we are committed to using only sustainable and eco-friendly materials in our products, which are also vegan. We strive to minimise our impact on the environment by using reusable or compostable materials wherever possible. Our packaging boxes are made from recycled materials and can be fully recycled. Our loose foam chips are made from non-genetically modified starch and are completely biodegradable and compostable.

At Tejomaya, we have a passion for creating products that are safe for the planet. That's why all of our products are handmade are made in Dorset, UK, with sustainable ingredients like coconut and rapeseed wax, cotton wicks, and essential oils. Our candles are more than just a way to add ambience to your space - they're made with a purpose: to provide self-care with a conscience. We use a rich, 100% biodegradable wax that is entirely sustainable and puts zero pressure on intensive farming or GMOs. Our wax burns cleaner and longer than any other wax on the market, making it a better investment and a more eco-friendly way to enjoy candles. Our formulas are vegan and cruelty-free, and all of our packaging materials are either biodegradable or recyclable.
